The movie follows Dylan Branson (played by Michiel Huisman), an air traffic controller who starts seeing patterns in everyday occurrences at precisely 2:22 pm. During one of his shifts, he nearly causes a collision between two planes because he becomes fixated on these patterns. After being suspended from his job, he meets Sarah (played by Teresa Palmer), an art gallery employee. As their relationship blossoms, they start to unravel a mystery that has been haunting them both.
The plot is masterfully written by Todd Stein and Nathan Parker, who infuse elements of romance, science fiction and thriller to keep the audience engaged throughout the film. The pacing is superbly crafted as well, with each scene building up to an explosive climax that will leave you holding your breath.

Lisa Gerrard’s hauntingly beautiful music elevates every scene she’s composed for while adding a layer of emotional depth that enhances the audience’s experience of the film.
